Rudder Measuring Instrument .
Rudder Measuring Instrument
Measurements
can also be taken with the ship model manoeuvring, while the rudder to
be tested is adjusted to various rudder angles. Balance rudders as well
as rudders supported on a helm post can be tested with the instrument.
In the latter case, lift and resistances are measured for the
combination of rudder and helm post while torque is measured at the
rudder only.
