A complete 80W solar panel system with instrumentation panel containing a battery charge controller, panel loading system, all relevant instrumentation and an external deep cycle 110Amp hour battery.

Instrumentation includes high accuracy solarimeter, panel temperature, electrical charging and load power measurement. Photovoltaic Trainer system may be expanded by the addition of extra optional solar panels and batteries.

1. Investigation of electrical conversion efficiency relative to solar radiation.
2. Investigation of the effect of panel inclination and angle of latitude.
3. Measurement of solar panel output characteristics under load and the effect of panel temperature.
4. Examination of battery charge management system.
5. Measurement of overall system performance under load.
