Welding Fume Extraction System - The apparatus is used for remove and extract at the point of welding, referred to as a source and is transported via ductwork to a central location for filtration. This type of extraction system helps to keep welding fume away from worker’s breathing zone. It is also reduces the accumulation of welding fume in the workshop. Supplier must meet DOSH Requirement.
The apparatus consists of :
a) Extraction Arms
b) Ducting
c) Filter Unit
d) Fan Motor
e) Manual On/Off Controls
f) Manual Handbook of Weld Fume Extraction System
2. Specifications :
Number Of Welding Bay :
Zone A : 12 units
Zone B : 12 units
Zone C : 6 units
Each Zone consist complete set of :
Extraction Arms
Constructed of a hood and hose OR hose and tube combination. The arm’s diameter typically 8-12 inches; lengths 6-10 feet with boom extensions available. It draws the air at a very high air transport velocity and high pressure, but at a low air volume (50 – 160 CFM). Adjustable fume extraction arms is suitable for all position welding and cutting.
Ducting
Enclosed pathway for moving welding fume from capture device to filtration unit.
Filter Unit
Self-cleaning capability and filter media designed for welding fume.
Fan Motor
Appropriate number of fan motor, power consumption (1-2 HP), max open air flow (1200 – 1750 CFM) and motor speed for each zone with low noise level.
